于武陵，会昌时人。其诗题材上以写景送别的为主，同时寄寓浓浓的乡思友情；诗风如羌管芦笛，悠扬沉郁。佳作很多，有《赠卖松人》、《早春山行》、《送酂县董明府之任》、《洛阳道》、《客中》、《寄北客》、等。其中《赠卖松人》一诗写一卖松人想“劚（音zhu逐，砍、掘之意）将寒涧树，卖与翠楼人”，但结果事与愿违，“长安重桃李”（长安人只喜欢桃李，对傲雪凌霜的松树一点兴趣也没有），由此诗人感叹他是“徒染六街尘”，空忙了一场。此诗借事讽世，确能起到遣人深思的效果，因此流传颇广。诗一卷(全唐诗中卷第五百九十五）。
